A newly married, Harry Binman stands on far left, his Iowa Uncle Harry Feine on far right. The photo was taken in the fall of 1922 before they returned to United States November 1922. Harry and Rose had been married in Estonia earlier that summer. The young couple between them was Harry Binman’s first cousin Esther Schein (1900 – 1985) and her husband Dr. Moshe Brodovski (1890 – 1937). They had been married in 1921.
This photo was taken in front of the massive base of the Kaiser Wilhelm I National Monument beside the Kaiser's palace in Berlin. Built in the 1890s, it was destroyed during WW2. The monument, topped by an equestrian statue of the first German Emperor, was built in the 1890s in front of the Berlin City Palace on the Spree River.
