Tartu Great synagogue around 1930

The Great Synagogue at Turu str in Tartu.
Was built in 1899-1902 and was burned by nazis in 1944. On the left Jacob Aharon Jakobson, one of the oldest and distinguished members of the community. Here in Fireman's uniform (it was a very honorable voluntary position).
